Hello CIMSA!
CIMSA UNRI successfully held SCAR on Sunday, 14th November 2021 from 09:00 pm – 11.30 am. This activity was held online via Zoom Meeting due to the COVID – 19 situation that occurred around the world and there is still a prohibition to organize large groups of people to break the chain of spreading the virus.
Social accountability is gaining rapid acceptance as a way to address health systems inefficiencies and improve basic public health performance, including planning and service delivery, and to contribute to the attainment of the highest possible standards of health.
One of the factors that guaranteeing the quality of higher education especially in medical school is social accountability. With the existence of social accountability, institutions are obliged to orient education, research, and priority service activities that are directed to the health of the community and the surrounding area as the target of their services.
So, SCOME CIMSA UNRI hold SCAR (Scratches of the Painter of Health). SCAR has goals to explain about social accountability to the participant especially medical student. In addition, this activity also conveys the latest information update about COVID-19.
Before SCAR activities started, there is a training first for all of the committees. This training was conducted on Saturday, 23rd October 2021 at 19.00 pm – 20.30 pm. This training activity was attended by the entire committees (OC) and the material was delivered by one of the Medical Education Trainers (MET) from CIMSA FK UNRI, namely Dina Br Nababan, from SCOME. The material presented is Social Accountability in Medical School.
This activity consist of two main parts. The first part was sharing by Dr. Eng. Yusri, S. Pd, S. T, M. T, Sekretaris Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau. The topic is about Social Accountability of Medical School. The information provided consists of social accountability in medical profession, vision and mission of Dinas Pendidikan Provinsi Riau that had correlation with social accountability and integration of medical education in the curriculums.
The second part was sharing by dr. Yohanes, M. Si, Sp. KKLP, Kepala Bidang Pelayanan Kesehatan Dinas Kesehatan Provinsi Riau. The topic is about the latest information update from Covid-19. The information provided is the cases update of Covid-19, the vaccination update of Covid-vaccine and the new regulation from the government about Covid-19.
