RISSOLE – SCOME CIMSA FK UNS

As medical students, we are required to always learning in order to always remember that knowledge so that mistakes will not occur later when we already a doctor. We must understand the knowledge and then see it over and over again. It would be nice if the learning was done all the time.  

Studying medicine can be brings us up to date with the latest medical research. For those of you who are really interested in the biological sciences, studying medicine is a great opportunity to be brought very close to the frontier of current scientific knowledge, beyond what you will find in textbooks. Be it the latest cell reproduction pathways associated with tumors or the most recently discovered ion channels in the heart, you will be brought up to the current level of understanding.

The lessons that medical students that has been studied will be able to use for the rest of life. When you are studying medicine you are not just studying for the next exam, but taking the first steps on a course of lifelong learning, building your basis of professional knowledge throughout your medical career.

Not only is this a great incentive to learn the core course material well, in order that you will be a competent doctor, it is also an incentive to go beyond the basic lecture material and satisfy your curiosity about what you have been taught. As a medic this extra detail could one day be put into practice in a clinical situation and could make a crucial difference to a patient.

On August 15th , 22nd, 2020 and August 25th  – 31st  2020 SCOME CIMSA FK UNS held their first project that is RISSOLE (Raise Your Medical Education Knowledge) that can be a learning facility for medical students and providing knowledge about medicine to the public. RISSOLE published through Instagram CIMSA FK UNS and can be followed by all of Instagram users.

This project began with giving fun fact which held on August 15th  and 22nd  2020. The first fun fact is talking about the truth of ‘We can control, but can not start or stop loving and we also give reminder in this session if drugs for controlling hormones have a lot of negative side effects, the second fun fact is talking about ‘Sleep Paralysis’ and in this session we also explain how to help preventing sleep paralysis.

The next agenda is giving the learning materials, for the first material that given on August 25th, 2020 is about Biology Cell and Hematology, for the second material that given on August 27th, 2020 is about Integument and Musculoskeletal, and for the last material that given on August 29th  2020 is about Digestive and Metabolism. In this session we also held pretest before giving the materials and posttest after giving the materials. By holding this event, we hoped that it can increase Instagram users’ insight towards medical field and for medical students, they can be able to repeat the material that has been studied so that they can understand more about the lesson.
